Expert killer sudoku
Pick a digit and tap the squares where it goes. The digits in each cage add up to the number in its corner and don't repeat. With “Notes”, it's noted small; tap again to cross it out, and again to remove it. With a keyboard: arrows to move, digits to write, N for notes.
Expert killer sudoku is for anyone who has already mastered hard: big cages and several dead ends that need an advanced step. A long game.
How to play killer sudoku
As in a sudoku, fill the grid so that every row, every column and every 3×3 box has the numbers 1 to 9, with no repeats. On top of that, the squares are grouped into cages with a dotted outline: the digits in each cage add up to the number in its corner and don't repeat inside it. Every killer sudoku has exactly one solution.
Where to start
With the cages that can only be filled one way: two squares that add up to 3 are a 1 and a 2; two that add up to 17, an 8 and a 9. And with the rule of 45: if the cages that fit entirely inside a row add up to 38, the squares left over add up to 7.
The levels
Easy: small cages and a few digits given. Medium: no digits given, it needs the rule of 45. Hard: bigger cages, the rule of 45 across several rows and some sudoku technique. Expert: several dead ends that need an advanced step.
